"YOU ARE THE MOAST PRETTIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD."

"THANK YOU. BUT YOU ARE NOT THE MOST HANSOMIST BOY IN THE WORLD.
NOR CAN YOU SPELL."

This is the third book in what is now a trilogy (Donleavy mentions wanting to write a fourth book in the series). Preceded at this time by The Destinies of Darcy Dancer, Gentleman and Leila:Further in the Life and Destinies of Darcy Dancer, Gentleman.

Uncharacteristic of Donleavy novels, this one has a happy ending. It's interesting to speculate what may be the outcome of the fourth book.
